Elizabeth Finch's Berry Nut Smoothie

Makes 1 serving

1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup frozen berries (we like strawberries and raspberries, but any berry will do)
1/2 ounce raw cashews (about 15 cashews)
1 medjool date, pitted
1/2 tablespoon hemp hearts (or ground flaxseed)

*You could easily add 1/2 cup of spinach or kale to this smoothie and it wouldn’t change the flavor, but you would lose the gorgeous red color.

Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender, and blend until smooth. If texture is too thick, add a bit of water until desired thickness is reached.
