It’s a Zoofari!
by Savvy Kids June 6, 2011This summer, the Little Rock Zoo is hosting a series of classes designed to teach kids about zoology, wildlife conservation, and what it’s like to be a zookeeper. These classes are only available during the summer, and will likely be a big deal to kids who have an interest in animals. Four-year olds-Kindergarteners can attend classes on bats, cats or toads; kids in grades 1-3 can explore insects, endangered species and ponds; and fourth-sixth graders can enjoy three different classes on how to be a zookeeper. The Zoofari classes run from 9 a.m. – noon, and cost $35 for non-members or $30 for members. If you sign up for 3 classes in the same age group, there is a discount ($100 for non-members or $85 for members.) For a schedule of these classes and for information on how to register, see www.littlerockzoo.com. Space is limited, so go ahead and sign up today!
