Song Bird Project Spotlights Homeless Crisis in Arkansas
by Meredith July 10, 2012Homelessness is a problem that affects adults and children alike. In fact, 13,978 children are homeless each year in Arkansas alone. To help remember these children and call attention to the prevalence of this problem, Our House in Little Rock has initiated the Song Bird Project, an effort to collect 13,978 handmade birds from organizations and citizens in Little Rock. You can help raise awareness by making birds to donate.
Here are the Song bird project guidelines:
- Birds should be no larger than 8.5 x 11.
- All birds must be two dimensional.
- Please do not decorate birds with perishable items (macaroni, etc) or glitter.
